Fuerte, muy fuerte

Guao. Really intense chapter in "Judges: Such a Great Salvation" (Dale R. Davis). I'm forecasting an approaching post about it.

Exempli gratia:
"To declare that faith, worship, and religion are rather regulated by royal revelation and subject to sovereign prescriptions sounds like a novel idea. Surely, contemporary Danites tell us, God is not so picky. Such folks really believe the the most appropriate symbol for what we believe and how we worship should be a big blob of fat – which every one can flop, squeeze, and shape the way he or she wants it. And that too is stupid… We would do well, however, not to laugh too heartily at Micah and the Danites. Even we who worship the Image of the Invisible God (Col. 1:15) have our own struggles in worshiping him in wholeheartedness and fidelity."
